Andrew Sutton

Andrew was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2008 and worked for a respected generalist firm, serving the western suburbs of Melbourne, for next 13 years before establishing Sutton Family Law in 20.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from RMIT. Andrew has since gained experience practicing across broad areas of law, and has developed a passion in particular in Deceased Estates, Succession Planning, Family law & De facto Property matters.
What makes Andrew stand out from many other solicitors is that he will work for his clients from the commencement of their matter to the conclusion, and including appearing for his clients at Court, to ensure the best possible result is achieved at all levels.
Andrew regularly appears at the Magistrates Court in representing clients who have been involved in domestic violence and need guidance and strong representation at Court. Andrew has found that most IVO/AVO cases can be resolved through negotiation with the police or the other party, which avoids the costs and stress of proceeding to a contested hearing.
Andrew routinely advises clients on matters where there is a family dispute as to the care being given to a person with a disability, or where clients have been left out of a Will.
He has extensive experience in mediations and given his highly sought negotiation skills, he achieves positive results, so that often contested matters can be settled prior to trial.
